Job Description Summary:

A successful System Economics & Competitive Intelligence Manager Japan & South Korea (J&SK) Operating Unit (OU) is one who can efficiently manage and provide guidance and insights in the areas of System Economics and Competitive Analysis for the OU.

Focus, Scope, & Impact:

  • Manage System Value Chain, P&L and Scenario Planning within the OU, including:
    • Collect input, model, and provide insights for value chain analysis, system profitability
    • Provide System P&L (view)
    • Scenario Planning Modelling, contingency, what if?
    • Develop Contingency plans
    • Risk Mitigation
  • Perform Competitive Analysis and analyze local Macro Economic trend:
    • Review competitor pricing and performance, discuss implications and takeaways
    • Analyze macro economic trends
    • Market analysis
    • Partnership with Strategy on Profit pools

KEY SUCCESS PARAMETERS

Knowledge & Experience

  • More than 5 years' experience in financial planning or commercial finance
  • Ability to work in a diverse cultural environment as a highly effective communicator and influencer at all levels with the ability to communicate complex situations in simple ways
  • Experience in managing bottling relations
  • Profound understanding of existing business models and competitive dynamics

Work Focus

  • Role model the “Leadership in the Network” definition
  • Provide holistic understanding of bottlers and competitors business performance inside the OU.
  • Strategic thinking on business model optimization across all OU bottlers and regions.
  • Responsible for development, data integrity and reliability of System Economics tools and projection models

Communication Focus

  • This role is responsible for partnering internally as well as externally to effectively manage System Economics and Competitive Analysis, as well as to build alignment on key initiatives and metrics, with a focus on communication to:
    • OU President
    • OU CFO and OU Planning, Competitive Analysis and Insights Lead
    • Franchise Units + Key Regional Stakeholders
    • Other OU leadership teams
    • Bottlers
