Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This role combines creative vision, strategic thinking, and team leadership in Visual Merchandising, with a strong emphasis on retail excellence and consumer experience. You will support and drive the planning and execution of Visual Merchandising strategies aligned with global guidelines, ensuring a consistent and elevated brand presentation across all consumer touchpoints.
The role plays a critical part in creating inspiring, consumer-centric retail environments that bring the brand to life, enhance storytelling, and drive engagement, conversion, and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development & Implementation: Support and drive the development and execution of a comprehensive visual merchandising strategy aligned with brand and retail ambitions. Translate global direction into locally relevant, impactful retail experiences that elevate consumer engagement and drive sell-through.
- Creative Direction & Story Telling: Ensure high execution standards across all stores with strong attention to detail and brand consistency. Optimize styling and product presentation to balance visual impact and commercial results.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and coach a field VM coaches, as well as external VM agencies, fostering creativity, ownership, and strong execution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Retail Sales, Merchandisers, Retail Activation, and Consumer Experience teams to deliver aligned and impactful campaigns.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage VM resources efficiently, ensuring cost-effective execution while maintaining quality.
- Analysis and Optimization: Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to evaluate the effectiveness of visual merchandising initiatives and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Store Operations & Training: Develop visual aspects of new store openings and remodels, and provide training and guidelines to store teams on visual merchandising best practices and standards.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 4-6 years’ experience in relevant Marketing fields
- Fluent in both Japanese and English (TOEIC 750 or above)
- Passion for sports and fashion/art
- Proven track record as people manager
