MBF_IT Business Partner/System Owner

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Business Partner/System Owner to join our dynamic and diverse team that is based both in Tokyo and Chiba, Japan. As IT Business Partner/System Owner, you will own and manage our existing financing applications within IT. Additionally, you will contribute to designing, integrating and setting up future systems, managing projects and programs, handling stakeholder communication, overseeing external human resources, and managing vendors. This position will report to the CIO Mercedes-Benz Finance Japan.

Responsibilities:

· Adopt a customer-first mindset and assume an active role in owning and managing our existing (pre-) sales financing applications, ensuring their smooth operation and optimization.

· Form a bridge between Business Units, other local/regional/global IT units and vendors to deliver technical solutions to accelerate our business.

· Take responsibility for the day-to-day operations and health of the financing systems across different countries and regions.

· Provide and/or coordinate 1st and 2nd level support to business units whenever required.

· Effectively communicate with stakeholders across various countries and regions in both Japanese and English to provide and deliver customer-centric technical solutions.

· Contribute to and lead projects related to system implementation and upgrades in a fast-paced multinational, multicultural and globally distributed environment.

· Oversee and manage external human resources, ensuring efficient utilization and adherence to project timelines in distributed teams.

· Manage vendors and contracts, ensuring compliance and value for money.

Requirements:

· Advanced level Japanese speaker with fluency in English, including excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

· Proven experience as an IT Business Partner, System Owner, Solution Architect, Technical Project Manager or a similar role, preferably in the financial industry.

· Excellent stakeholder and project management abilities, with the capacity to effectively communicate and negotiate in both Japanese and English across different cultures.

· Experience in working with external resources and preferably managing vendors in a global setting.

· A strong technical background and expertise in (pre-)sales financing systems are desired.

· Experience with applying AI in daily business would be a definite advantage.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.

· Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a multicultural team spread across various countries and regions.
