Roles and responsibilities of AEO management office (2 members ) includes;
1. Understanding and Promotion of the AEO System
The AEO Supervisor should deeply understand the AEO system, communicate its significance and benefits within the organization, and foster company-wide awareness and understanding of the system’s principles.
2. Strengthening and Maintaining Internal Controls
The Supervisor is responsible for establishing and maintaining compliance and internal controls within customs operations, ensuring internal procedures and regulations meet the standards required by the AEO system. This may include advising on process adjustments or improvements as needed.
3. Risk Management and Formulation of Countermeasures
Risk management is critical for AEO certification. The Supervisor should identify and assess risks associated with imports and exports, establish risk management strategies, and monitor for potential illegal activities or regulatory violations. This may also include conducting training or simulations to prevent compliance issues.
4. Coordination and Collaboration with internal stakeholders.
AEO certification requires close collaboration across various teams, such as CX, SAL, CHB, Air, Admin, HR, and HSSE. The Supervisor coordinates with these teams to ensure that AEO requirements are upheld company-wide and facilitates information sharing and cooperation between teams.
5. Regular Monitoring and Improvement
Ongoing monitoring is necessary to maintain the AEO system’s operations. The Supervisor should regularly check compliance, conduct internal audits to ensure standards are met, and implement corrective actions as needed to sustain AEO-compliant processes.
6. External Communication and Relationship Building
The Supervisor plays a key role in liaising with customs and other relevant authorities, ensuring smooth communication and handling of necessary procedures. Additionally, networking with customs and other AEO-certified organizations is encouraged to facilitate information sharing and best practices.
