Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

We’re hiring a Sr. Manager, Product Management for TE JASEAN team. This role will be based in TE Japan, responsible for managing product management teams, also closely work with other regions and other key function teams such as sales, engineering, operations.

Responsibilities:
1.Team Management: Manage Product Management group which consists of 3 teams, and monitoring progress

2.Product Innovation: Drive product development & evolution to build / maintain market leadership
・Proactive market trend analysis, close customer communication to define target product
・Competitor benchmark to understand product strength for GTM also improvement points for new product development
・Prioritization with cross-function alignment & Lead to get resource needed
・Coordinate internal team and resource to drive project launch and execution from front

3.Margin Improvement: Manage product margin to achieve target level / keep at healthy level
・Drive product cost reduction through close collaboration with operation / procurement / engineering team
・Control Price erosion / price increase with sales & pricing team
・Manage other related items such as product mix, Mfg source optimization

4.Other supporting task: Support APAC PM team for other tasks such as;
・KPI target setting & progress track
・Regional / Global best practice sharing
・Cross-country project coordination
＊20 - 30% of travel required

What your background should look like:

＜Qualifications＞
Must to have:
1. Around 10 years of product management, sales or program management experience
2. Around 10 years' Automotive industry experience
3. Strong communication skills with cross-function team
4. Presentation/excel/data analysis skills
5. People management experience
6. Fluent English/Japanese are mandatory, Chinese would-be a plus

Nice to have:
Connector or Wiring Harnesses experience
