Position: Nuclear Engineering & Safeguards Experts for Red Team
Type: Contract
Compensation: $65–$75/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Write challenging single-turn prompts in the nuclear domain, labeled as benign, dual-use, and adversarial.
- Evaluate AI model responses against a defined policy standard to judge correctness.
- Write reference answers with technical reasoning to illustrate correct responses.
- Develop prompts that test AI models' ability to discern misuse potential in technical requests.
- Provide detailed written rationales for judgments to ensure clarity for non-specialists.
- Work independently and asynchronously with flexible hours to improve AI model evaluation.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Experience in safeguards and nonproliferation.
- Background in fuel-cycle and material control.
- Prior technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience.
- Ability to write and evaluate misuse scenarios in the nuclear field.
Preferred
- Red-teaming experience.
- Experience as a Safeguards Analyst, Nuclear Engineer, or Nuclear Security Engineer.
- Background in Nuclear Forensics or Nonproliferation Analysis.
