Family Practice or Adult & Gerontology background. The ideal candidate will have thorough documentation skills, a great work ethic and be able to work autonomously while being connected regularly with MD/DO and administrative support.  This position offers Nurse Practitioners the opportunity to supplement their income with a remote flexible schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients
  • Provide administrative duties to include but not limited to opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow-up, verifying insurance and collecting payment, maintaining a clean environment
  • Be responsible for handling patient appointments and performing routine examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes
  • Perform duties including speaking with patients about healthy lifestyle choices, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care
  • Encourage patients to become active participants in their own healthcare and well-being through services such as health screenings, behavioral health and wellness, chronic condition management
  • This includes education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) Prevention and safer sex practices
  • Provides evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education
  • Complete proper charting and documentation of client's visit for billing with proper coding
  • Create health plans with clients by identifying barriers and creating solutions
JOB SUMMARY:
  • Qualified Nurse Practitioners seeking this remote position, will have the special opportunity to interact with members and build rapport in a more intimate setting. In contrast to a typical clinic visit, the members are in the comfort of their own homes, allowing the Nurse Practitioner to connect with them on a more effective level.
  • Provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients
  • Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent
  • Complete the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment
  • Depending on the market, the ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages not limited to but including Spanish
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires
  • Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role

  • Advanced interpersonal skills are necessary to communicate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to enhance collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to provide information to patients and healthcare personnel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well as a member of a healthcare team with a high degree of self-motivation. General computer knowledge and ability to use computerized medical information systems.
  • Must be able to function effectively in a fluid, dynamic, and rapidly changing environment.
