Our client is a global company that leases sustainable packaging solutions. Their packaging solutions are reusable because they are manufactured with plastic. These products are provided to the agriculture industry (farmers) and retail grocery industry (grocery stores). The company has a 30-year history globally and the Japan office was established around 25 years ago. In Japan, our client holds the #1 market share in their industry. The Japan office is based in Central Tokyo and consists of around 75 employees.
Description
* Drive supply chain transformation projects with the aim of improving logistics operations and network
* Build relationships with global stakeholders to understand globally standardized operational procedures and implement best practices at local level
* Analyze inventory and find solutions on ways to protect and optimize inventory
* Lead efforts to upgrade warehouse facility and storage procedures, assessing CAPEX investment versus profitability
* Collaborate with global IT team to drive system implementation project efforts, serving as a bridge between global and local offices
Profile
* Minimum 3 years of project management experience
* At least 5 years of operational logistics experience
* Experience working in a manufacturing company or logistics service company
* Lean Six Sigman qualification or other relevant qualification preferred
* Fluent Japanese skills required and business level English skills preferred
* Must be a resident of Japan and/or must hold a valid working visa for Japan
