SUMMARY:

Develops and executes sales strategies for assigned products and accounts; reports on individual results to achieve defined goals. In summary the successful Sales Associate will meet sales goals within budget costs, be an active, collaborative member of the sales team, seek out and share market intelligence, sell to customer needs and represent Custom Bilt Metals in a positive manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Provides management team input to help establish sales goals for assigned area and drive sales achievement; monitors monthly, quarterly and annual achievement of plan.
  • Track win/loss to show individual performance against sales goals.
  • Identify key projects for bid and lead the effort to develop and submit project bid proposals.
  • Participate in the project quotation efforts.
  • Work with the Branch team to ensure the smooth delivery of projects that meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain sales volume and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations to prospects, customers and partners.
  • Develop new business opportunities in support of sales goals and acquire new accounts.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends, activities, competitor product lines and competitive pricing issues as it pertains to the company and its products.
  • Represent company at Trade Shows, Trade Association meetings and other related events to promote the company and its products.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree, in business administration, marketing or a related discipline or five years of sales experience in a related industry or field.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
