Minimum qualifications:

  • 6 years of relevant partnership development experience, including identifying partners, structuring and negotiating agreements.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Japanese fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, MS or other advanced degree.
  • Data analysis/visualization experience.
  • Experience in managing partners/partnerships in either a marketing, sales, or agency capacity.
  • Strong execution orientation, have a proven track record of consistently delivering business results despite challenges.
  • Ability to create strong relationships across many levels of a client or within an organization, with evidence in particular of senior relationships.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

Our Consumer Hardware team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make our user's interaction with computing faster, more powerful, and seamless. The Devices and Partnerships team manages relationships with retailers and carriers. We are responsible for developing and executing the consumer go-to-market strategy to maximize the adoption of Google’s hardware products including Google Nest and Pixel products.

The Google Store is the online destination for all of our relevant products and services. This store is our direct relationship with each customer, helping to reimagine what helpful means through the total customer experience of our products and services.

The Hardware Partnerships team was formed with the purpose of bringing the best of Google’s software and hardware to our users by bringing to market and distributing a Google-branded hardware portfolio. The team is responsible for managing all partnerships with carriers, retailers and resellers worldwide. This includes the partnerships for products such as Pixel, Daydream View, Google Wifi, Google Nest Thermostat, Chromecast Ultra and Google Home.


  • Be responsible and accountable for Google Store online promotion and business growth in Japan. Manage business processes to increase business growth, including promotions management, partnerships, and pipeline management.
  • Work within the Google Store team to maintain high-quality business reports and cooperate closely with data analysts in identifying growth opportunities and solving business issues.
  • Partner closely with third party devices and services business organization counterparts in Japan to contribute to the overall health of Japan Hardware and Services business. Manage projects for specific Japan Google Store online initiatives.
  • Work with the Regional and Global Google Store teams to manage the launch of products and features in Japan. Work closely with product teams to help sustain and launch our hardware products and services in Japan.


Due to the current health crisis related to COVID-19 and the escalating visa/travel restrictions in place, we're currently unable to extend offers to anyone who cannot work from Japan due to lockdown visa/travel restrictions, or other restrictive measures until further notice. Consequently, we will be prioritizing candidates who can start in this location by set date as expected. We're keeping the situation under review and would adjust our position should the restrictive measures be removed later on.
