Your key responsibilities:
・Create and update the coming 24 months inventory, inspection, packaging, and bulk importation plan throughout the collaboration with Production Unit, Quality Control Unit, Finance.
・Propose the coming 24 months plan to management team in monthly Sales & Operation Planning process. Give insight of what has changed from the previous month, and how the change might impact Site’s financial performance as well as the agreed balance of QCD.
・Reflect the approved plan from Sales & Operations Planning process to SAP system and share the One Valid Plan to relevant stakeholders at Site (Production, Quality, Warehouse, Material Planning, etc.), which would also mean that it’s the conversion from monthly planning to weekly or daily planning owned by each department.
・Place Purchase Order (PO) to Novartis internal supplying Sites and manage the stable delivery from those Sites. Collaborate with those Sites to achieve continuous improvement such as lead time reduction, Just In Time implementation, and etc.
・Manage the execution of weekly plan from Sales & Operations Planning process by leading the weekly standard process. In detail, confirm the weekly abnormal demand, progress and changes in plan for production, material goods receive date, as well as testing and release, and take necessary actions to correspond to the changes.
・Lead updating coming 5 years Long Term Capacity Planning (done once a year) and propose the plan to management team. Share the approved plan to global Supply Chain.
・Lead revision of Inventory Policy, such as goods purchasing or internal process lead time, with other Supply Chain colleagues and relevant departments, and update SAP parameter to automatically propose ideally balanced Master Production Scheduling and Material Requirement Planning in terms of QCD.
・Support Life Cycle Manager or Technical Transfer Lead to realize successful New Product Launch, Divestment, or Product Transfer (in and out) from operational point of view. For example, propose available slot in production line for Qualification, Cleaning or Packaging Validation and other relevant activities required from the project, launch or bridging stock plan, production batch size, inventory policy (safety stock and maximum stock), standard order lead time for customers, and etc.
Drive the Site by leading monthly inspection, packaging, testing, release, and replenishment planning discussion with management team, considering the ideal balance of QCD (Quality, Cost, and Delivery) and contribute in Site’s mission: “Deliver high quality pharmaceutical medicine stably to Japan market”. In addition, achieve financial budget and supply chain related KPI targets by leading the execution of the plan, endorsed by management team, and contribute in Novartis’ performance improvement.
