MISSION
In one or two sentences, outline the primary purpose(s) of this position within the organization
Plant Supply Chain Manager mission is to organize the flow of material and information of the plant in a manner that optimizes the factory efficiency & effectiveness in terms of customer service / stock level / site productivity (warehouse directly and production part indirectly) / logistics costs.
Responsibilities & Activities
Outline the key areas of responsibility for this position, including the related activities and eventual authorities
- Provide leadership at plant level on supply chain topics (customer service, demand management, warehousing, stock level, productivity and costs)
- Mentoring and coaching team members (planning, warehouse, SAP as required)
- Employees have authority to stop machines in case of immediate risk and emergency situations.
- Contribute and drive the flawless implementation of the site Supply Chain related action plans while constantly reviewing SC overall performance which implies continuously improving and/or re-engineering material and information flows & work processes.
- Ensure high level smooth collaboration with all SC stakeholders (purchasing, production, finance, HR, suppliers and clients)
- Contributes to Asia Supply Chain & Purchasing activities and performs various reporting timely
- Obtain logistics information of purchased goods.

As a manager, he /she ensures that his/her team is informed and trained about Quality, Safety and Environment requirements and respects the related rules. He/She is accountable for the IMS process management within his perimeter of responsibility.
Within his/her scope of responsibility, he/she respects the standards and rules in terms of Quality, Safety and Environment contributing to the IMS process management and improvement.

POSITION BACK UP

- SAP structural utilization improvement (Customer Demand, Supply and production planning in SAP (MRP), WMS)
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Personal Background
- Educational background: BS or MSc in Supply Chain Management
- Experience: > 10 years of relevant experience acquired in manufacturing sectors renowned for Supply Chain Excellence as Planning leader AND warehouse leader.
- Experience in building integrated Supply Chain organization
- Bi-cultural profile / overseas experience / foreign company experience a major plus
Job skills
- Strong leadership skills are required
- Ability to build a performing SC team organization : structure, roles & responsibilities, processes, procedures and work instruction
- Robust team management experience.
- Good safety awareness
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with different stakeholders (external and internal). Act as a facilitator.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking) and Japanese.
- Relevant experience successfully supervising major SAP projects (MRP, production planning…) related to supply chain activities is a plus.
- Skills in SAP (at least one of following modules MM,PP,SD,WM) are a plus
