The GE Project Manager will provide execution leadership for high priority, complex manufacturing software projects impacting both business and customer profitability. This individual will be responsible for scope, cost, schedule, contract, and risk management as well as quality and customer satisfaction of all assigned projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage a GE Digital manufacturing portfolio based product implementations for Top-tier manufacturing companies

• Act as a single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

• Development of project proposals and detailed project plans and schedules

• Negotiate with customers from pre-sales to contract closure, including change order management

• Interface with providers, subcontractors, technical teams, and customers to align project specifications and requirements

• Ensure strict adherence to GE’s Spirit and the Letter policies for integrity, quality standards and safety procedures at all times

• Develop subcontractor work scope and coordinate administration of subcontractor contracts

• Report project status both internally and externally

• Interface with and influence project stakeholders including internal stakeholders (e.g. product development, project team, sourcing, finance, et al.), customers, partners, and/or subcontractors

• Ability to influence and lead staff without direct line management responsibility

Eligibility Requirements

• Proficiency with English (Business Level) and Japanese (Native Level) language

Desired Characteristics

• Previous responsibility for projects involving multiple businesses and / or functions across the entire project cycle, including development, design, delivery, installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing

• Excellent PC and MS Office skills and demonstrated ability in creating presentations for External and Internal reviews in Powerpoint

• Working knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System, SCADA system, Historian (Industrial Database), etc

• Ability to successfully interface with executive level management within both the sponsor and customer organizations • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

• Formal Project Management education and or MBA

• Project management experience in the manufacturing related domain

• Proven ability to lead and motivate technical project teams and external subcontractors with integrity, ingenuity, and interpersonal skills to achieve project delivery success even in challenging situations.

• Experience in all aspects of project management, including Cost, Scope, Risk, and Time Management

• Experience dealing with delivering solutions to external customers on a fixed-firm price contract basis on time and on budget

• Strong negotiation skills, command of contractual terms & conditions and able to drive new revenue streams such as CO’s or new products license sales with assigned accounts

• Strong written & verbal communication skills

• Hands-on experience with MS Project and / or Primavera

• Working knowledge of project cost tracking tools (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system / SAP preferred)

• Past experience in managing contracts and strong business / financial knowledge, including claim and change order management Technical Expertise:
