Job Summary / 職務概要
We are looking for a growth-minded, bilingual QA Engineer to join our international team at Cogent Labs in Roppongi. You will have direct opportunities to take ownership of product quality for various development projects. Since our primary users are in Japan, strong Japanese communication skills are preferred.
We welcome early to mid-career engineers who bring a pragmatic, team-first mindset to product quality. If you are eager to learn, this role offers a flexible, results-driven space to own the entire QA lifecycle—from initial requirements to cutting-edge AI-assisted automation and load testing—all while working alongside a talented team building real-world AI products.
Responsibilities / 職務内容
- End-to-End QA: Handle test planning, test design, execution, bug reporting, and post-release verification.
- Requirements & Review Follow-through: Evaluate functional and non-functional requirements, and meticulously address feedback and corrections during reviews.
- Automation Coverage: Support and scale UI/API test automation coverage.
- Collaboration: Investigate test failures objectively and work closely with developers to resolve them smoothly.
- Growth Track: Opportunities to learn and apply modern testing frameworks, load testing, and AI-assisted QA on the job.
Development Environment / 開発環境
- Testing Tools: Playwright, Postman, Python load tests
- Infrastructure: Linux, AWS, GCP
- Management: JIRA, Confluence, Google Drive
Qualification & Skills / 応募要件
【必須要件 / Required】
- Foundational knowledge or basic experience in software testing methodologies.
- Practical understanding of (or a strong interest in mastering) UI/API test automation.
- Strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and a proactive drive to learn.
- Japanese: Native or JLPT N2 preferred (for application testing & stakeholder alignment).
- English: Conversational level or higher (for internal team collaboration).

- Experience with JIRA, Linux, or Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Any QA-related certification (ISTQB/JSTQB, CSTE).
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Salary / 給与
- ■ 4.0M ~ 7.0M JPY / 年収 400万円 〜 700万円 (Determined based on skills, experience, and potential / 経験・能力・ポテンシャルを考慮の上、当社規定により決定)
