The Role: Research Assistant, Ratings Analytical (S&P Global Ratings)

The Location: Tokyo, Japan

The Team: You will act as the general research assistant for the Corporate Ratings team reporting to the Analytical Manager. As the general research assistant you will support the Analysts by conducting credit and financial analysis, reviewing researching and managing data, running credit models, analyzing cash flows, and preparing analytical documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with analysts to provide research and analysis support to the Corporate team
• Scrubbing pool cut data to run credit models in support of ratings
• Review and run cash flow models
• Analyze data and review documentations for the analytical team
• Undertake research in support of S&P Global’ s published commentaries
• Collaborate with Analyst to prepare charts, data, and PowerPoint slides in support of external presentations

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree holder in Finance, Economics or related subject
• Prior experience related data processing or operation work experience in the financial services industry
• Relevant data analysis experience with a proven track record in managing data sets, evidencing high levels of attention to detail
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-changing, global and regulated environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Language: Japanese – Native level, English - Business level

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure, fluid environment while performing multiple tasks and ensuring high quality, error free output
• Able to work effectively in a team-oriented, global and multicultural environment
