This position is responsible for achieving an agreed sales quota by identifying and gaining business from clients in the EPC & MARINE community and ensuring complete customer satisfaction when dealing with PP&M.

  • Developing PP&M’s footprint in the EPC & MARINE market by generating sales leads for Enterprise solutions and services, along with other products as required
  • Identifying and gaining new business through a sustained program of prospect targeting and following up referrals/leads
  • Understanding the customer's objectives, buying criteria and decision making processes and forming long term business partnerships in order to leverage revenue from the relationship and promote PP&M as a quality supplier with the aim of achieving "preferred" supplier status
  • Working closely with new clients to determine their future needs and proposing suitable products, services and upgrades in order to maintain and grow revenue for PP&M
  • Maintaining call rates to assure contact with assigned clients and acting as the main interface between the client and PP&M to ensure an optimal level of service is provided at all times
  • Conducting product presentations and coordinating the preparation of Sales proposals, tenders/bids, contracts and Account Management plans
  • Coordinating, conducting and participating in Sales promotions, campaigns, events and displays
  • Assessing potential partners, performing competitive research, evaluating proposed deals/partnerships and analysing and developing business cases for new business targets
  • Developing new products, services or solutions by combining several existing products/services and generating leads to establish a corresponding market sector in order to gain new business for PP&M
  • Keeping abreast of competitor's Sales strategies.
  • Negotiating contracts in accordance with PP&M’s policies
  • Liaising with Technical Support staff regarding technical issues to ensure client retention and continued business
  • Proven Sales ability including outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability and excellent communication skills
  • Expert product and industry knowledge with particular reference to technical solutions in the EPC or MARINE industry
  • Ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution
  • Management, business, accounting and reporting skills
  • Creativity and a flair for innovation
  • Over 10 years of software sales or consulting experience for a large enterprise software organisation, preferably with relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Knowledge of EPC or MAIRNE industries from an operations / maintenance perspective
  • Ideally will have spent time working with the operations and maintenance departments of an operating facility so that you have an appreciation of the day-to-day challenges encountered there
