The Electrical Carbon Business of Morgan Advanced Materials designs and manufactures a broad range of high performance solutions for rotary transfer systems, linear transfer systems and electrical carbon systems.

Reporting to Managing Director Asia, the Sales Leader has responsibility for identifying sales opportunities to enable the delivery of ‘Sustainable Profitable Growth’ within Japan.
They will have a direct responsibility for in country sales & marketing of the entire Electrical Materials product range + be responsible for generating new business in our target markets to support growth & profitability.
This position is fundamental to the development of the growth of sales in Electrical Materials in Japan.
Develop a local sales growth plan for electrical materials in alignment with Asia and Global strategic growth plans for market sectors.
Where possible, develop supply chain efficiencies to serve the growth plan and also serve the footprint optimization strategy and plan for the site.
Increase profit and/ or market share in their area of responsibilityManage client relationships to maintain existing business
Develop new strategic business opportunities
Work with relevant colleagues to define sales, customer service and production targets and objectives
Provide direction to a range of colleagues to ensure sales, customer service and production objectives are achieved
Research and be aware of upcoming trends and major changes in own business area and market
Take responsibility for preparation and analysis of weekly/monthly reporting as required
Provides knowledge-sharing for staff e.g. to increase customer service standards
Keep up-to-date with financial and budget activities.
Identify and assess potential new customers, attending meetings with BDMs in order to grow the business
Contact existing clients to build and maintain the relationship / businessMaintain customer contact through trade visits
Other tasks assigned by company;
Graduate, preferably with business, electrical engineering or technical degree in electrical field.
Professional experience within a major industrial product / B2B company. [Industrial Electrical Product Sales Experience Preferred]
Understanding and experience of both direct and indirect sales channels.
Track record of identifying and implementing a strategic plan, which delivered ‘Sustainable Profitable Growth’
Innovative thinking to spot new opportunities and to establish rapid growth within the new market place
Natural sales leader with experience of leading and managing remote teams, both directly and indirectly
