The Role

This is a full-time role for a Senior Sales / System Engineer. The role involves day-to-day tasks providing technical support to clients to build an innovative data product by bridging customer requirements, product vision and engineering. You will be joining our highly-productive engineering team that drives a thriving work culture through individual's growth, well-being, strong ethics, and entrepreneurial approach. While the role is primarily located in Japan, there might be some travel to Asia Pacific regions for work.

You will be combining technical expertise with a client-focused approach to deliver the necessary integrations and solutions as part of our enterprise SaaS platform. Reporting directly to the Country Manager and Head of Engineering, you will collaborate with global and local teams, and act as a trusted advisor to our clients in Japan / Asia. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Technical Expertise: Understand Streamhub's products from a technical perspective and use this to analyse and manage client requirements for development.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the key technical contact for customers, building strong relationships that drive trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Sales Collaboration: Work alongside the sales team to develop technical proposals and RFPs to win customer deals.
  • Global Teamwork: Collaborate with global engineering and product teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Product / solution Selling: Leverage your technical expertise to demonstrate the value of the company's solutions and contribute to the company's sales growth.

The communications with the customer involves the understanding of their data methodologies, designing and implementing the data integration modules, working with internal engineering teams on data ingestion or product features, and maintaining the data integration pipelines (currently built over Airflow and Kubernetes).

Must Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role in a B2B technology company whether as Sales Engineer, System Engineer or Technical Project or Product Manager where the ability to articulate techinical solutions to clients is necessary
  • 2+ year of hands on experience in Python or Java applications handling data integrations
  • Working experience with SQL, AWS/GCP
  • Must have at least 3 years of relevant media industry experience in the field of research, measurement, advertising or analytics/data systems
  • Experience in handling customer interactions, documentation and developing technical requirements
  • Native in Japanese and Fluent/Advanced in English
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Eligible to work in Japan

    Compensation and Benefits:
