SAP R2R FI Test Consultant

Job Responsibilities:

• FI Functional Test Design & Execution:
  • Create and execute highly structured test cases for core R2R FI processes, including:
    • General Ledger (G/L) Accounting, journal voucher postings, and recurring entries.
    • Asset Accounting (AA) lifecycle (acquisitions, transfers, depreciation runs, and retirements).
    • Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) sub-ledger closing activities.
    • Intercompany Reconciliation (ICR), foreign currency revaluation, and month-end/year-end financial consolidation.
    
    
  
  
• Fiori Launchpad & Role Validation: Execute role-based testing using SAP Fiori Apps to ensure accurate UI behaviors for General Accountants, Asset Accountants, and Financial Controllers. Validate custom role permissions and analyze missing authorization objects via SU53 or system traces.
• Test Management via Tricentis qTest: Maintain the R2R FI test repository, map business requirements to test cases to build a clean Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), and oversee the defect lifecycle directly inside qTest.
• Integration & Interface Testing: Validate cross-module integration points (OTC billing to FI-AR, P2P invoicing to FI-AP) and verify data formatting/reconciliation for external banking, treasury, or tax platforms (e.g., Kyriba, OANDA, custom banking interfaces).

Job Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 6–8 years in IT QA/Testing, with 5+ years focused strictly on SAP FI modules. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in S/4HANA Fiori environments and 2 years using Tricentis qTest.
  
  
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of the S/4HANA Universal Journal architecture, financial ledger configurations, and standard financial reporting compliance.
  
  
• Documentation Preference:
  • Proven ability to author explicit, detailed test scripts outlining step descriptions, data variants, Fiori app references, and clear Expected Results.
  
  

Required languages: Business level English proficiency and Elementary level Japanese (optional)
