As a Frontend Central Team PIE PI Snr Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for providing leadership to the global Micron network to drive yield, product quality improvement, new product introduction (NPI) through technical expertise, business process management and project execution.
In this position, you will participate in new technology node deployment and product/process problem solving, business process improvement, networking activities and definition of performance indices (metrics). As this is a generic job profile to define the job responsibility, your supervisors will communicate with you to define specific job profiles.
Lead the PI Yield Program/PI Module in network to address yield and quality challenges, optimize process flow in a timely manner to achieve BIC yield performance.
Establish the business process to collaborate with Fab to assure closure of Gap by tracking of project and predict Risk, results and outcomes critical to success.
Drive the Yield BKM/BP implementation within the FE Manufacturing through Metrics and CY80/Mature Yield program execution.
Maintain and enhance domain knowledge and technical expertise, explore innovation opportunities with strategic thinking and systematic approach.
Maintain a strong and open relationship with peer group and managers in other functional areas within central team and outside in areas such as Fab, R&D, Product Engineering, GQ. Communicate and respond to issues in a timely manner. Help drive to fix the issue where necessary.
Analysis of project progresses in terms of root cause analysis, pay-back assessment, risk, resources consumption, interdependencies and gaps are also key functions of the Project Engineer responsibilities.
Travel to Micron Fab locations as necessary for face to face work.
Minimum 2 yrs experience in either Integration Engineer/Process Engineer/ Project management
Knowledge in Semiconductor Device Physics, CMOS process flows, and Fabrication. Understanding of memory process flow and basic functions for either, DRAM or NAND and associated business process such as PCRB, conversion, and SPC as basic knowledge.
Capable to communicate effectively to world-wide stakeholders and have leadership and courage to implement best solutions.
Ability to direct project team with high level goals and motivate team to strives towards.
Ability to create network to support project execution and have adept skill in resolution of conflicts.
Leadership skill to manage a team of project / program engineers.
Must be fluent in English for communication in a verbal and written form.
Bachelor’s degree and above in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field of study
