As Microsoft rapidly expands its international data center footprint, the customers’ appetite for & consumption of cloud products is increasing even faster than we can expand! All new DCs require efficient and reliable capacity planning to meet exponentially growing customer demand – that goal is our NorthStar. To ensure that customers can expand their consumption of Microsoft cloud services without any constraints, we established a specialized regional program that gathers customer-based intelligence in coordination with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering teams. This Global Capacity Field Insights Team (GC FIT), housed within the Cloud Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) team, works to develop strong ties with field and subsidiary leadership to establish a broad network of contacts focused on solving capacity-related challenges. This two-way exchange of information enables us to develop an early deal pipeline and more effectively plan resource-specific capacity that shapes our cloud DC growth strategy for each region. Collectively, our team’s efforts help customers meet their business objectives and propel Microsoft’s fastest-growing business segment!
We have an opportunity based in Japan to partner closely with our Japan and Korea subsidiary leadership teams (Area Vice President and LT, Business Group Leads, Technical advisers, etc.) to align on cross-company sales initiatives, cloud capacity expansion, revenue performance, and gross margin targets.
