About the Team
The position belongs to the Aftermarket (AM) division and is part of the technical service team for ZF Aftermarket's five premium product brands and service concepts in Japan. Aftermarket division offers products and services related to the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of a product after its initial sale. In Japan, there are over 20 team members, including those from Field Sales, Sales Support, Technical Service, and Operations teams working in Aftermarket division.

What you can look forward as Service Engineer:

  • Manage the service business and technical support for all customers in Japan.
  • Offer technical support for products to OEM, Distributors, ZF [pro]Service, and Fleets.
  • Domestic ZF [pro]Service management including organizing regular conferences, conducting regular audit.
  • Provide technical assistance and field support.
  • Offer scheduling, technical support on-site/remote to all customers and ZF [pro]Services
  • Coordinate and drive the service support for JOEM and communicate and align internally.
  • Communicate using English within the organization in Asia, Europe etc.
  • Feedback internal information collected from the field.
  • Support OEM, Distributors, ZF [pro]Service & Fleets for introduction of new products into the market.
  • Warranty Handling.
  • Plan and execute technical training to external customers by following ZF training policies
  • Appoint new ZF [pro]Services according to ZF service strategies and provide necessary actions to strength service capabilities of new one.
  • Support of sales promotion for ZF products and PC diagnostic tools with ZF distributor

Your profile as Service Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical college graduate
  • Over 5years technical and/or mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive industry (i.e. Technical Support, Engineer, Mechanic)
  • Technical Support, Engineer and Mechanic in machinery or electronic manufacturer, experience or workshop of automotive AM industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and Quick learner for new IT tools
  • Solid Japanese and English language capabilities (both oral and written)
  • Experience of managing external partner companies
  • Require domestic travels (5-6 times per month)
