Client Details
Our client is a global manufacturer of wind turbines, a rapidly growing renewable energy solution. They have a history of over 50 years and are a publicly listed company. As one of the largest manufacturers in its field globally, the company is experiencing rapid growth. The company manufactures and installs wind turbines for both onshore and offshore wind farms. The Japan office has around 200 employees and is located in Central Tokyo.
Description
* Manage services procurement in various categories such as construction, labor, transport, etc.
* Support APAC procurement activities as subject matter expert for specified category
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and develop roadmap
* Review existing suppliers to benchmark supplier capability and conduct research on supplier market
* Handle end-to-end sourcing process from supplier evaluation to contracting
* Negotiate with suppliers to secure supply at best price and quality
* Work closely with regional team to execute procurement strategy
Profile
* Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, either in direct or indirect procurement
* Experience in manufacturing industry (preferably energy, heavy industry, or engineering companies)
* Solid supplier sourcing and stakeholder management experience
* Experience using SAP preferred
* Fluent Japanese skills required and business level English skills preferred
* Must be a resident of Japan and/or must hold a valid working visa for Japan
