Shop Construction and Maintenance Group Member - Shop Operation Section , Shop Operation Department , Area Business Supervisory Department

Job Description:

Department Overview
Rakuten Mobile is driving business growth and creating customer touchpoints in physical channels, with shop operations at its core. Our stores serve as the "front line of customer engagement," offering services across the entire Rakuten Group-including telecommunications, fintech, and e-commerce-and playing a vital role in supporting the brand experience beyond simply acquiring contracts.

The mission of this department is to provide comprehensive support for store repairs and maintenance, ensuring that Rakuten Mobile shops nationwide are always operating at their best. This is a highly rewarding role where you will not only provide rapid responses to breakdowns and malfunctions but also constantly pursue better store environments for both customers and staff.

You will do more than just "fix" things; you will think deeply about how to provide a more comfortable space and how to solve store-related challenges, then bring those solutions to life. This position allows you to collaborate with diverse internal and external partners (contractors, equipment manufacturers, shop staff, etc.) and, at times, directly contribute your own ideas to store improvements.

Position:

Why We Hire
With the expansion of the Rakuten Mobile shop business, we need to strengthen our organizational structure to promote stable and high-quality new store openings, as well as to optimize the management of facilities, equipment, and repairs for existing stores.
As stores are critical customer touchpoints, maintaining a consistently attractive environment is directly linked to business growth. Therefore, we are seeking a candidate who can drive improvements in existing stores and strengthen our operational foundation.

You will be responsible for store repair operations that support Rakuten Mobile's shop management. This position involves driving the maintenance and improvement of comfortable, high-quality store environments for shops nationwide through repair handling, coordination with partner companies, and progress management.

- Receive repair requests from individual shops, coordinate with partner companies (contractors, etc.), and manage project progress.

- Review repair cost estimates, process invoices, and handle related tasks.

- Attend regular inspections conducted by partner companies and review inspection reports.

- Implement improvement initiatives based on feedback from shops and on-site conditions to realize a better store environment.

- Execute store repairs and related tasks in collaboration with partner companies and internal departments.

Work Environment
The Shop Construction and Maintenance Group within the Shop Operations Section is a team of 3 members including the manager. Because it is a small team, there is a warm, transparent atmosphere where you can easily consult with others whenever you face a challenge.

- Experience in creating schedules, managing progress, organizing issues, and coordinating with stakeholders regarding store repairs, renovations, or equipment updates.

- Experience in creating progress reports, cost management documents, and reporting materials using Excel and PowerPoint.

- Experience in operations improvement or the construction and optimization of management systems related to store facilities, equipment, repairs, or infrastructure management.

Desired Qualifications:

- Practical experience in facility management or maintenance for commercial facilities, office buildings, factories, etc.

- Experience in coordinating or negotiating with external partners such as construction contractors, cleaning services, or facility vendors.
