We are seeking friendly, efficient and safe drivers to work within our Guest Services team as Shuttle Bus Driver for SkiJapan.com in Niseko, Hirafu. You must have an exceptional, clear driving record with passion for driving. Must be eligible for International Drivers license class D (Motor vehicles used for the carriage of passengers and having more than eight seats in addition to the driver’s seat).
You will be responsible for safe transport of our staff and guests, driving them to and from their accommodation to town, lifts and restaurants on a set route and schedule on time and under heavy snow conditions
POSITION
Shuttle Bus Driver
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safe Transporting of staff on a set schedule
- Be responsible for bus punctuality
- Daily bus inspections before driving and reporting any damages/maintenance issues
- Responsible for the safe driving of staff between Kutchan and Hirafu
- Snow clearing around/on the bus and warming it up in the morning prior to departure time
- Assisting staff to be on time
- Being flexible with work hours to ensure driving roster is covered at all times
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
- Must have or be eligible for an International Driver's Permit Class D
- Experience driving in adverse weather and/or heavy snow/ice conditions
- Heavy vehicle driving experience
- Have a clear driving record
- Bus driver/passenger driving experience
- Resort/Seasonal work experience

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- English is a MUST (English/Japanese Bilingual an advantage but not necessary)
VISA REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have or be eligible for a Working Holiday Visa
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- English is a MUST.
- Must have a valid driver’s license. Holders of a foreign license must ALSO have/be eligible for an International Driving Permit (IDP) with Class D stamp.
- Must have/be eligible for a Working Holiday Visa, or be a Japanese resident.
REMUNERATION PACKAGE:

EMPLOYMENT DATES:
- November 2026 – March 2027 (Full Season)
As with any seasonal work, hours and dates of work are snow and customer dependent. Please understand that you are required to be flexible with work dates and hours.
Start date and end date can be discussed at interview. We can be flexible.
WORKING HOURS:
Full time, 5 days per week
You will be contracted to work an average of 35-40 hours per week throughout the winter, though this will be higher in peak season (late-Dec to mid-Feb) and lower during quiet times.
