Salesforce - Procurement team is looking to hire a Sourcing Category Manager/Senior Sourcing Partner to manage Salesforce In-direct services sourcing commodities, such as HR, Professional services, Real Estate and Workplace Services(REWS), Marketing, and Meetings & Events (excluding IT and Tech-sourcing) to take our service to the next level at Salesforce.

This position is located in Tokyo and report to Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager based in Tokyo.


Performance Objectives:
Driving the development and execution of Sourcing strategies related to the category spend areas, including analyzing spend data, market research, formulate strategies to optimize and rationalize spend, recommend and run RFx, and negotiate contract terms with suppliers.
Overseeing and understanding key metrics and analytics to provide solution to current processes to find ways to be more efficient.
Navigating and processing complex spreadsheets or datasets, and be able to provide insights and recommendations based on data analytics.
Being familiar with the Source-to-Pay (S2P) Process and managing its operation according to internal policies and requisites with a sense of Compliance.
Influencing strategies and decisions and leading complex, highly visible, negotiations with strategic and key suppliers, including the establishment of service levels, key performance indicators, price and term negotiations in order to mitigate risk and increase cost savings.
Managing all engagements and relationships with major suppliers, and drive quarterly business reviews with key suppliers, in collaboration with key business stakeholders and ensure their service levels.
Establishing and expanding relationships with Salesforce business stakeholders, and collaborate with Legal, Ethics, Accounting, Finance & Strategy, AP, Risk management as necessary.
Position Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing/Global Procurement, experience managing a Purchasing system, indirect purchasing category, and reviewing, analyzing, drafting and negotiating contract terms.
Strong command of written and speaking in Japanese and English, fluency in both languages is required
Polished negotiation skills, knowledge/experience of supplier management, project management, strategic sourcing practices.
Analytical skills managing and discerning data & formulating strategies.
Ownership and being able to proactively drive initiatives, while also being a team player.
Mindset focused on continuous process improvement and a growth mindset.
Work well under pressure, ability to multi-task and skilled time manager that is comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Comfortable making presentations at Executive Level and establishing relationships with different internal and external stakeholders such as business stakeholders and suppliers.
Knowledge of salesforce is desired but not required.
