Senior Specialist, Client Solutions – Research Management Solutions

About The Job:

FactSet Research Management Solutions (RMS) help our clients optimize the collection and publication of research. RMS Partners is a suite of workflow-driven solutions tailored to the needs of our clients to boost cross-firm collaboration, maintain compliance and ensure research continuity. Our specialty solutions combined with the content and tools of the core workstation put FactSet in the unique position to offer an end-to-end research workflow solution. The RMS Partners team is looking for client-facing Senior Specialist.

The Senior Specialist is a project manager/business analyst who owns client implementations and strategic relationships, working in close collaboration with Financial Analysts, Heads of Financial Research Departments and IT professionals to ensure the ongoing success of RMS Partners. In this role, you will work directly with new and existing clients to identify and set up optimal organizational and research management strategies, and in doing so, you will gain a deep understanding of a variety of technologies used to increase efficiency in the investment industry. You will work closely with senior team members to learn technology that impacts and drives the investment process.

This role is for applicants who would like to join the RMS Partners Client Solutions team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects for new and existing clients that can vary from short projects at small investment banks to large multi-months projects at large financial institutions
  • Advise on and create proprietary investment processes that are tailored to individual clients using the RMS Partners’ highly configurable software and workflow tools
  • Partner with clients in their digital transformation
  • Accompany the sales team periodically to product demos to advise potential clients on usage of the software and suggest potential workflows based on previous experience with existing clients
  • Learn how to configure reports to publish company and sector research, and fine tune client workflows for maximized productivity
  • Manage and support existing clients by solving problems, training users, and providing exemplary customer service
  • Understand the value proposition RMS Partners provides to each client (i.e. why they bought it and continue to use it)
  • Build diverse relationships with the contacts at our clients
  • Leverage cross-team collaboration to identify opportunities to grow the business
  • Understand our product strategy and proactively guide clients to the optimal solution
  • Proactively involve the FactSet generalist teams in your work and clients.
  • Work with the Product Development team to ensure client feedback is properly communicated into product enhancements
  • Frequent travel may be required

Skills/Requirements:

General

  • Strong written and oral communication skills both in Japanese and English
  • Proactive and independent work ethic
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, written and oral communication skills, and solid organizational skills are required
  • Background knowledge in programming or data management not required, but demonstrated critical thinking ability and a willingness to learn new technologies is critical
  • Focused on guiding clients towards optimal solutions i.e. working strategically

Product Specific

  • Knowledge of or strong interest in working with programming languages (FQL, Visual Basic, SQL etc.)
  • Prior experience in RMS Partners and/or FactSet workstation is a plus.
