About the role:

A unique opportunity exists for a customer focused Superintendent Aerodrome & Village Services to join our team based at the Roy Hill Mine.

Reporting to the Manager Village Services, you’ll support the performance of our mine village and aerodrome services, ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for our village residents and visitors. In this pivotal leadership role and managing a small team, you will ensure best in industry culture and service levels for our village operations. You will also drive the relationship with our dedicated service partners and proactively seeking opportunities to elevate our service standards as we embark on an exciting village transformation program.

The successful candidate will have a passion for customer experience and the ability to positively influence change through meaningful engagement of and collaboration.

Duties

  • Drive the safety and health culture, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures.
  • Responsible for the delivery of the village operations (catering, cleaning, facilities management, administration, mine office cleaning) and oversee an extensive contractor partnership.
  • Execution of village and aerodrome services and infrastructure and ensure capital upgrades are complete with minimal impact to village operations.
  • Develop positive internal and external stakeholder relationships, and influence others to achieve collaborative outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with government obligations particularly with respect to operation of village and aerodrome.
  • Liaise with government departments and agencies, the community, and other authorities.

Skills and experience:

  • A customer-centric mindset with the ability to drive a culture of inclusion, safety, well-being, and care for all.
  • Proven leadership experience in a remote village and/or housing infrastructure.
  • Experience managing and executing service contracts and commercial negotiation skills.
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience and the ability to manage complexity in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing procedures.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to build meaningful partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills with the ability to pass on concepts to residents, service partner workforce and senior management.

  • 22 chartered flight services per week
