About the role:

The Fixed Plant Maintenance team is currently seeking a Superintendent Fixed Plant Maintenance to join them on a 8/6 Days Only Roster based at Roy Hill Mine. Reporting to the Manager Fixed Plant Maintenance, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the integration of the maintenance elements of the Mine Processing Fixed Plant facilities to maintain a sustainable operating entity.

The role will incorporate all aspects of a Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) philosophy, whilst promoting and fostering good relationships within the Roy Hill organisation and motivating maintenance professionals to deliver the maintenance department plan.


Duties:

  • Ensure maintenance strategies are followed through maintenance schedules and are aligned with Department budgets
  • Monitor and report against work management KPI’s and reduce unplanned and non-routine activity or performance deviation
  • Identify performance deviation and manage improvement processes to achieve people competency and equipment reliability
  • Assist with leading site supervision of contractors during shutdowns to ensure safety, productivity and commercial objectives are met
  • Responsible for asset management, cost control, time control, quality control, purchasing, contract administration and general site administration
  • Assist the Manager Fixed Plant Maintenance in identifying and implementing initiatives that contribute to current and potential value to the business from a maintenance planning perspective, ensuring compliance to the Change Management Procedure
  • Coach, develop, and identify next level of leaders with-in the department and have structured development plans

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or similar technical field or an appropriate trade qualification with a demonstrated combination of training and experience
  • Work management understanding and experience with ability to coach others
  • Current full West Australian "C" class motor vehicle license or current equivalent Australian State motor vehicle license
  • Demonstrated Fixed Plant Maintenance leadership experience
  • Exposure to maintenance philosophies such as Reliability Centred Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Knowledge of the Health and Safety Act and Regulations
  • Intermediate experience with SAP or similar CMMS
  • Comfortable with presentations and group speaking
