About the role:

The Process Plant Production team is currently seeking a Superintendent Training to join them on an 4/3; 4/3; 8/6 days only roster based at Roy Hill Mine. Reporting to the Process Plant Production Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership of a multidisciplinary training team to deliver effective and efficient management of training systems, processes, and procedures in alignment with company standards and legislation, whilst working cohesively with department specialists and subject matter experts.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement strategic training plans that align with company goals and address operational requirements.
  • Lead the training team to provide high-quality programs, promote continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with relevant standards, whilst managing operational training budget.
  • Assess training needs within Processing operations, identifying skill gaps and opportunities, and integrate training with business strategies.
  • Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of training initiatives by working with stakeholders and communicating data-based results.
  • Mentor and develop the training team, including maintaining up-to-date training materials, and ensure documentation aligns with department objectives.

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a Training leadership position within mining or related industries
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high performing teams with a culture of continuous improvement
  • Minimum of Cert IV Training and Assessment
  • Demonstrated understanding of Learning Management Systems
  • Desirable experience in project management and auditing
