About the role:

The Non-Process Infrastructure team is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join the team.


Reporting to the Superintendent NPI Maintenance, you will be responsible for leading and training a team of high voltage electricians, plumbers, refrigeration technicians, mechanics, and carpenters, to ensure that all NPI assets achieve maximum availability for minimal cost whilst maintaining a high level of safety.

NPI Assets include HV power, airport, village and mine potable water network, waste water and oily water treatment plants, roads, overhead cranes, buildings and crib huts, vehicle wash stations and fuel facilities

Duties:

  • Coach, mentor, and support the team to improve their knowledge, skills, and performance
  • Coordinate with the maintenance planning team to schedule equipment inspections and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot complex issues and develop solutions to improve the reliability of the critical assets
  • Engage with supply chain team to manage the inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring availability for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments on high voltage operations and take corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
  • Foster strong relationships with operations and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance to our environmental license by executing current strategies and supporting future projects
  • Review budget forecast and support maintenance superintendent with spend justification

Skills and Experience:

  • Certificate III Trade Certificate and/or Degree Qualification; Electrical background preferably
  • Experience in the mining and resources industry in leadership role
  • Familiarity with SAP maintenance planning systems, asset management and work management processes
  • Strong understanding of risk and contractor management, as well as change management processes
  • C class manual drivers licence required
