The Team Captain, Verification and Quality Assurance will be responsible for the day to day oversight of the Verification and Quality Assurance teams. This role will be the Verification and Quality Assurance subject matter expert (SME) and drive operational excellence within their respective Verification Center.

What you will do

  • Be aware of and follow all performance expectations and ensure Team Members (TMs) are adhering to their performance expectations.
  • Be a leader on the Operations floor by building a through understanding of Operations end to end metrics (including calculation, root cause analysis, and ability to explain metrics to TMs) to help train, coach, and motivate TMs on the floor
  • Manage team workflow throughout daily shifts by utilizing network tools and resources to ensure accurate and on-time fulfillment and shipment of all customer orders
  • Review Quality calls and report out Trouble, Cancel, Contact Buyer, and Pass rates to leadership and identify gaps in performance
  • Perform daily audits on QA/AQA Cancel and Passes along with trouble notes/photos and ensure Quality Assurance audits are being completed
  • Manage WMS reporting and movements for compliance with Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) and accuracy
  • Ensure TMs are up to on all knowledge updates, including but not limited to SOPs, Brand Protection updates, Learning Xchange assignments, and weekly product updates.
  • Manage Stale Reports data and collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Transportation, Claims, Product, Fraud, Brand Protection and other teams as necessary to identify and resolve issues that impact orders and/or improve processes
  • Create, maintain and foster a safe and team-based work environment
  • Troubleshoot team issues or concerns that arise throughout daily shifts
  • Support other areas of operations including inbound, outbound, supply chain per business needs

About you

  • 1-2 years of work experience in verification or operations
  • Strong knowledge of sneakers/streetwear across major brands
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate team members
  • Significant experience in reviewing and authenticating sneakers/streetwear or experience in a product verification role
  • Product knowledge of streetwear manufacturing and ensure SOP is being adhered to
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and the ability to build trust and consensus amongst a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Slack, and other common basic office software
  • Significant experience in operations/warehouse environments, preferably in a StockX Verification center
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Comfortable strategizing, managing processes, and executing
  • Ability to manage large workloads and prioritize tasks

Nice to have skills

  • Previous team leadership/people management experience a plus
  • Japanese language skills advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills and experience with strategizing and delegating tasks

Working conditions

  • The Verification Center is a warehouse environment with working conditions found in a typical warehouse setting. Closed toed and closed heel shoes are required. Team members in this environment will be required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, turn, and pivot more than 75% of the time.
  • May push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds (or 23kg); on occasion a team-lift of up to 100 pounds (or 45kg) and may be required to bend, twist, kneel and squat regularly.
