Tech Lead for Backend, Test Course Ops System

TEAMThe Test Course Ops System team develops the systems to support the entire city operations. The mission of the team is that we will maximize the efficiency of city operation through making operational policy and developing Ops systems with low-cost by utilizing commercial off-the-shelf and full scratch applications. Also, we will contribute to improve the performance and quality of service development to promote rapid cycles of DevOps with high quality by visualizing Measurements.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FORWe are looking for an experienced Backend Tech Lead. “Test Course Ops System” needs to support the entire Woven City Operation. You will develop multiple applications to support city operations. You will work with partners to understand requirements for your better design and communicate with other engineers and partners both within the company and externally. You will apply Agile methods and best practices to maximize the velocity of your projects and meet customer needs. You will develop software which helps multiple operations in Woven City and leading multiple software development to support and stabilize Woven City Operation with the team.
You will report to the Lead of Test Course Ops System and the work style is hybrid (office and remote).
RESPONSIBILITIES・Design and develop multiple backend software to support City operation and enhance Woven City value for our customers・Improve team’s flexibility by implementing CI/CD environments, adopting the latest development tools, automation and modern software architecture to build stable and scalable applications・Identify important technical issues in development activities and introduce appropriate solutions based on the latest technology trends・Participate in and support high-level discussions with business teams from a technical perspective・Work with multiple teams across the organization to integrate with other products and the common platform・Participate in sprints and meetings, improving our agile development processes・Review, mentor and support other team members・Follow the standards in Woven City Management or Woven by Toyota to align organizational policy or rules related to 5 major risks like safety, security and privacy to maintain our reputation and build high quality software
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS・10+ years of experience in backend software development and 3+ years of experience as a technical lead・Experience with multiple programming languages and defect standard frameworks or libraries・Experience in delivering public or private cloud-based production-level software・Strong problem identification and solving skills・Proficiency in business level Japanese and in basic level English to communicate with others via chat, e-mail and documents
NICE TO HAVES・Experience in development of the following: ・Cloud based services ・Data modeling, collection and management ・Microservice and service oriented architectures ・Docker and Kubernetes ・API design and OpenAPI standard ・Agile software development・Experience with AWS or other public cloud like GCP and Azule・Experience in leading development of big enterprise systems
