Job Description – Test Center Administrator
Description: As a Test Centre Administrator, you will play a critical role in delivering a secure, professional, and welcoming testing experience for candidates. Working onsite at a Pearson Professional Centre, you’ll ensure exams are administered accurately and fairly, following strict operational and security standards. Key Outcomes & Responsibilities
Test Centre Operations
- Ensure all testing equipment and workstations are fully operational and free from unauthorized materials.
- Monitor and manage daily system transmissions, including test result uploads and exam downloads.
- Partner with technical support teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant test centre environment.
Candidate Experience & Customer Service
- Prepare for daily test rosters, including arrangements for candidates requiring special accommodations.
- Greet candidates, verify identification, and clearly explain test procedures.
Document running footer/version/DD.MM.YYYY
- Support candidates through check-in, secure storage of personal belongings, and test start procedures.
- Monitor exams to ensure compliance with policies and address candidate questions before the timed exam begins.
- Accurately record, escalate, and document any incidents, irregularities, or discrepancies.
- Print and provide test results upon completion of exams.
Quality, Security & Continuous Improvement
- Adhere strictly to Pearson Professional Centre quality, security, and integrity standards.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, procedures, or candidate experience and share feedback with the wider team.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- At least 1 year of customer service experience
- Experience in a testing or regulated environment is strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows applications
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Comfortable handling moderate levels of pressure in a structured environment
- Confident using standard office equipment and computer systems
Certifications & Compliance
- Completion of Pearson Professional Centres Test Administrator certification is required
- Annual re-certification must be successfully maintained
Work Environment & Flexibility
- Onsite role in a quiet, secure testing environment
- Flexibility to work Monday to Sunday, including weekends, based on test schedules
- Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods
