About the role:

The Operational Training team is currently seeking an experienced HME operator that has a passion for learning and a commitment to safety to join the AHS Training Team.
Reporting to the Superintendent Training Mining, this role will heavily focus on delivering on-the-job training, upskilling, and mentoring to existing site operations team members on the Autonomous Haulage System developed by Epiroc and Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI).
Your overall contribution will be integral to the success of the Autonomous Haulage Project.


Duties:

  • Training, assessing, and delivering scheduled training programs to mine site personnel that will be operating in the Autonomous Operating Zone.
  • Optimisation training using the Autonomous Haulage System to deliver consistent productive results.
  • Review of Roy Hill training required for safe and productive autonomous mining operations.
  • Utilise your HME experience to test and assist with Autonomous Operations projects.
  • Continuously looking for opportunities to improve training methods to ensure success in the AHS Training Programs

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive operating experience in production mining – Excavators, Dozers, Loaders
  • Experience in on-the-job training role, such as a Line Trainer.
  • Demonstrated proactiveness, resilience and strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Manual drivers’ licence (mandatory)
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent (desirable though not essential)
