Urban & Building Planning Project Management, Assistant Manager

TEAMWoven City is a test course and living laboratory for mobility, aiming to realize "Well-being for all."In Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture at the foot of Mt. Fuji, we will create a human-centered future by demonstrating new systems and services under the vision of "Expanding Mobility."
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FORUrban & Building Planning Team's role in Woven City is to plan " the city, buildings, and public spaces that receive people's lives and activities". We will create the value of a test course city and a place for demonstration experiments. At the same time, Urban & Building Planning aims to create an attractive city where people would like to live through the planning for structural features. As a project manager of the team, you will be expected: to set and update team goals and tasks according to the development phase, coordinate and collaborate with partners, and develop and promote various plans while reflecting them in specific architectural plans.This position's reporting line will be the Lead of the Urban & Building Planning Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Realize the Woven City concept (Living Laboratory, Human-Centered City, and Ever-Evolving City) and manage the entire organization by presenting team policies and establishing a structure to promote each project, including urban planning, urban design, building planning and architecture.
  • Contribute not only to recruitment but also to human resource development in order to establish the necessary structure.
  • Compile the plans of each team and integrate and update them into a city-wide plan.
  • Set up the overall project schedule, understand long-, medium-, and short-term tasks, and distribute them to the various teams.
  • Expected to manage not only within the team, but also to work with other teams and external partners.
  • Understand overall project costs and implement appropriate investment plans and budgetary controls.
  • Summarize ideas in a concise presentation and get approval from management in a timely manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 5+ years experience in urban planning, design, or real estate consultation
  • Experience as a project manager or lead manager of a project with a development area of 50,000m2 or more, in which criteria and systems were planned and realized.
  • Attitude constantly challenging new approaches to realize projects that go beyond your own area of expertise and encompass business, operational, and functional aspects.
  • Business level proficiency in English and Japanese language

  • Urban renewal planner
  • Professional Engineer (Construction/Urban and Regional Planning)
  • Experience in urban planning or urban design
  • Experience working on construction projects for mixed-use facilities
