XM Strategist - Japan

Why We Have This Role

  • The XM Strategists are a team of experienced experts in the Experience Management (XM) space. Forming part of the presales organization, the team's mission is to inspire organisations new to Qualtrics and existing customers looking to expand their XM programs. We share best practices and guidance and help customer shape their visions and approaches to XM throughout presales cycles.
  • The goal of our team is to drive revenue with a focus on winning within key accounts and supporting strategic initiatives that will increase revenue. Our XM Strategists support our sales teams by bringing their years of experience and credentials to bear through defined client engagements ranging from executive coaching sessions to more in-depth workshops.
  • This team dives deep on key deals and strategic accounts to positively influence time to close, average deal size and overall win percentage.

How You’ll Find Success

  • As an EX Strategist, you will be hyper-focused on growing global revenue. You will work side-by-side with the sales organisation on strategic account planning, deal-specific strategy, and sales campaign execution.
  • You will build deep relationships in strategic accounts, be proactive in creating opportunities, develop a center of excellence around competitive intelligence, and support high-value cross-functional initiatives.
  • While most of your efforts will be focused in a pre-sales environment, some of the additional cross-functional initiatives could include input in product direction, content generation, contributing to analyst reports/relationships, attending events, delivering customer workshops, and directing account based marketing activity.
  • You’ll work as part of a global network of experts and form a key part of the Japan sales team, building relationships with both local and global leaders within the Qualtrics business.
  • Thrive as a subject matter expert focused on pre-sales engagements that build, expand and close pipeline in the most critical accounts for the business, with the most critical stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the sales team in key opportunities, delivering outputs that help customers build their vision for experience management, and design their roadmaps towards the art of the possible.

How You'll Grow

  • The XM category cuts across several stand-alone areas of professional expertise. In this role you will gain exposure not only to areas that align with your core areas of expertise (e.g., employee experience), but will also be afforded the opportunity to shadow and eventually own motions aligned to other areas under the XM umbrella (e.g., customer experience and market research).

Things You’ll Do

  • Drive conversion and cultivate strong relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise sales to effectively position Qualtrics solutions to meet client needs.
  • Provide accessible advice and share best practices both internally and externally
  • Act as expert spokespersons, representing Qualtrics at key marketing events and driving activation of XM communities in target markets.
  • Provide input into our product teams to ensure that our solutions are designed to meet the needs of our international customer base.

What We’re Looking For On Your CV

  • Extensive HR industry experience and knowledge (preferably in employee engagement and employee measurement)
  • A keen interest in the broader XM category, including a passion for connecting EX outcomes to customer experience (experience in the CX, as well as the EX space, is a bonus)
  • Experience in a selling environment within an agency or technology company environment or as a customer buying technology and or consultancy in the EX space
  • Experience as an external/internal consultant designing and/or delivering employee experience programs
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English
  • Degree in Organisational Psychology, behavioural science or a related field
  • Willingness and ability to work in a quota-carrying sales environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel between 25-50%
