Account Executive, SMB (Tokyo, Japan)

Figma is looking for a SMB Account Executive to join our dynamic team of creatives, engineers, marketers and brilliant business folks. You aren’t the typical salesperson, and we aren’t the typical design tool company. At Figma, we think outside the box, lift constraints that block our imagination every day, and we encourage you to do the same. You’ll be the first Account Executive hired to specifically grow Figma’s SMB customer base in Japan and will be based in Tokyo. You’ll consult with our existing customer base and potential customers in driving meaningful relationships that add value to the customer experience and revenue to our bottom line.

Our next team member will have an agile, dynamic approach, be comfortable embracing change, a true team-player, and love working with our growing footprint of Fortune 1000 customers. You won’t be alone! Figma has an incredible team and you’ll work closely with other groups including Support, Design, Engineering, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Community.

What you'll do at Figma:

  • Manage a dedicated book of accounts mixed with existing customers and white space net new accounts
  • Prioritize your accounts, outbound prospect and build a strong pipeline
  • Manage a 360 deal cycle and exceed targets
  • Own sales activity and monthly revenue forecasting in Salesforce
  • Work to develop and circulate best practices in a collaboration first environment

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Minimum 3 years of SaaS sales related experience in a fast growing organization
  • SDR/BDR experience in a pure outbound function
  • This role will interact regularly with the other regions. Business fluency in English is preferred.
  • Comfortable generating meetings via cold outreach, calls and emails, through value based communication and leveraging multiple forms of outreach
  • Strong written and verbal communication with clients and internal teams
  • Strong organization skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage customers through every touchpoint
  • Proven track record of success in your prior roles

While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • Experience selling to technical audiences
  • Experience with UX/UI design principles and collaboration tools
  • Proven experience using a sales methodology, ideally Command of the Message or MEDDIC
