About the role

Kerry is looking for a strong, passionate, business driven professional willing to make an impact in shaping the future of Kerry ProActive Health Division

  • Work Location: Tokyo, Japan
  • Reporting To: Regional VP ProActive health, APMEA

Key responsibilities

60% sales accountability

  • Engaging and driving revenue and projects conversion with established accounts/distributors/ partners with strong focus on delivering per Budget targets
  • Monitoring of business activities and contribute to the regional monthly reports
  • Co-building annual budgets with the support of the regional team
  • Forecast accuracy, orders and pricing management
  • Ensuring regular call reports and projects are effectively captured in Kerry’s systems


40% Business development accountability:

  • Build and Co-Own the Supplements Road To Market strategic plan for Japan with focus on Supplements and Functional Food customers
  • Actively review and define Portfolio priorities, regulatory requirements and identify target list of customers/partners/ distributors
  • Building a strong project pipeline for ProActive health portfolio with focus on Kerry’s strategic health platforms (Immunity, Women’s Health, Digestive, Cognitive)
  • Building relevant Value Propositions and business cases on a need basis
  • Plan and participate at key seminars/ tradeshows, engaging with KOLs network
  • Assess and open new channels for Kerry in the space of Health & Wellness by developing strong customer alliances and partnerships

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy, Nutrition and Health, Biotechnology, Business, or other related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working with Functional Ingredients, prior experience in developing new customers, channels and positioning value add ingredients a plus
  • Solid experience with selecting and managing distributors
  • Strong prioritization and execution skills with the ability to remain agile, tracking to the fast paced and trending health and wellness categories
  • A highly collaborative and team player who can deliver on the strategy, in the Kerry matrix structure
  • Fluent in Japanese and English (oral and written)
