Location: Tokyo, Japan
Salary: JP¥8,000,000 – JP¥15,000,000 per annum
(Approx. US$49,900 – US$93,500)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated AI Business Consultant to join a growing consulting practice in Tokyo. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and advanced technology, helping enterprise clients unlock value from AI, data, and digital transformation initiatives.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, global experts, and senior stakeholders to shape and deliver impactful solutions—from strategy through to implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with clients to identify business challenges and define AI-led transformation strategies
Lead consulting engagements focused on AI adoption, data utilisation, and digital transformation
Analyse business processes and design future-state operating models leveraging AI technologies
Develop proposals and business cases for customer experience transformation and new digital services
Work closely with global teams and technology partners to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions
Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and apply insights to client engagements
Contribute to new business development and support the growth of the consulting practice

Requirements

Core Skills & Experience

Proven experience in consulting, business analysis, or digital transformation roles
Strong capability in problem structuring, hypothesis development, and logical reasoning
Experience engaging with clients, gathering requirements, and delivering proposals
Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and business documentation
Ability to manage stakeholders and drive initiatives across internal and external teams
Strong interest in AI, data analytics, and emerging technologies with a desire to apply them in a business context

Preferred Experience

Background in a consulting firm or professional services environment
Industry knowledge in sectors such as manufacturing, finance, or distribution
Experience in AI solution planning or implementation
Exposure to global projects or cross-border collaboration
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Experience working with offshore or distributed development teams

Language Requirements

Japanese: Business fluency (essential)
English: Business proficiency (essential)
