We are seeking an experienced IT Application Support Engineer to support business-critical applications for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization. In this role, you will ensure the stable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications that power manufacturing and production processes. By working with core systems and business-critical applications that underpin factory operations, you will play a key role in supporting the pharmaceutical industry's operational excellence. You will also collaborate with both domestic and global teams, providing valuable international project exposure and opportunities to work in a global environment.
Work Place: Tokyo, Japan
Work Style: Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide application support for enterprise systems used in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents and service requests.
- Handle service requests, implement and manage progress on user support CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) tasks.
- Create and update system operation manuals and various documents.
- Support users by handling application-related queries, email notifications, and system communications.
- Collaborate with global support teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Prepare operational reports and communicate project progress to application administrators and IT managers.
- Participate in continuous operational improvement activities.
Requirements
Essential Skills/Experience:
- IT knowledge and experience in system operation and troubleshooting.
- Business level Japanese and everyday conversational skills in English.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Basic understanding of CSV/CSA, ITIL, CAPA, GMP.
- Knowledge and experience in IT application support.
- Understanding of SLA (CTQ, CTD).
- Knowledge and experience in IT service management (ServiceNow).
