Through its real estate platform in Japan, we invest in, develop, and manage large-scale logistics facilities and data center assets that support critical infrastructure and long-term economic growth. The Investments & Development team is responsible for sourcing and executing investments that drive the continued expansion of our platform.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced investment professional to join our Investments & Acquisitions team in Tokyo.
This role will focus on sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisition and development opportunities across logistics facilities and data center assets. The successful candidate will participate throughout the entire investment lifecycle, from origination and underwriting through negotiation and closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate acquisition and development opportunities for logistics facilities and data center assets.
- Build and maintain relationships with property owners, brokers, developers, lenders, and other market participants.
- Conduct market analysis, financial underwriting, valuation, and due diligence.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the investment process.
- Negotiate commercial terms and support transaction execution, documentation, and closing activities.
- Contribute to the firm's investment and growth strategy through proactive opportunity sourcing and execution.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investments, development, brokerage, or related fields.
- Strong financial analysis, valuation, and transaction execution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive complex transactions forward.
- Native-level Japanese language proficiency, including the ability to conduct negotiations, review transaction documentation, prepare investment materials, and work effectively with counterparties and advisors in Japan.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred
- Experience acquiring development land and/or income-producing real estate assets.
- Experience within a real estate developer, investment manager, asset management company, financial institution, trading company, or brokerage firm.
- Experience with logistics, industrial, infrastructure, or data center investments.
- English language proficiency.
