Purpose of the Job

The job holder is responsible to drive company sustainable profitable growth for BPR Japan by analyzing long-term market, competitive landscape and technology trends, and execute business strategies and plans for long-term success based on clear understanding of customers' painpoints.

Your Role

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITIES & SCOPE OF AUTHORITY & PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

1. Realize sales (50%)

- Visit customers and manage day-to-day commercial relationships. Furthermore, give appropriate technical support, onsite assistance, after sales service, support sales administration and complaint handling.
- Take full responsibility on A/R collection according to the corporate guideline.
- Negotiate and determine product mix, volumes, make up, packaging, special requests and prices with the customers according to the corporate guideline.
- Approach the prospects in targeted market segment in order to further develop customer portfolio.
- Submit sales reports for all visits and important telecons/web meetings, and share to all stakeholders with clear indications of requested actions.
- Initiate corrective actions if necessary in order to reach maximum customer satisfaction at minimum cost (e.g. complaints).
- Manage agent/distributor wherever such exists in the assigned accounts.
Performance indicators:
Sales Plan (Forecast), Sales figures (MT/sales amount/SGE), Market share per segment, Volumes & prices in line with forecast, DSO, Overdue

2. Propose, develop, implement & follow up sales objectives (X+1) in line with defined product / market strategy (20%)

- Collect and pre-analyze all necessary information on our core value in the industry, market, technology, value chain, competition, volumes, product mix, prices, margins, etc. for the yearly X+1.
- Make and present a stretched but realistic X+1 budget for the own sales region & product segment.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts & appropriate follow up on the results.
- Take all necessary actions to achieve the forecasted results, taking responsibility for sales, margin, inventory & accounts receivables.
- Ensure solid business development actions are taken in place in the identified new/existing opportunities either from existing customers or together with new prospects.
- Assist other regions for which JP enterprises are active and give full support to realize sales outside Japan
Performance indicators:
M&S X+1 in line with global strategy, Action plans and implementation to achieve the X+1

3. Develop a sustainable business foundation by connecting all relevant stakeholders in the value chain in both Building and Infrastructure segments (15%)

- Further develop contacts in Building with Developers and GCs especially in real estate, residential building, and warehousing segments.
- Scout and explore Infrastructure market by connecting established GCs to relevant Academia and the Developers and prepare for a growth plan (resource planning for 2025).
- Consult the challenges and propose bold moves that could grow faster in the assigned territory.
- Support and assist Commercial GM with all necessary inputs enable to make X+3/X+5 plan, development priorities, product/market mix, and regional/global strategy.
Performance indicators:
Execution, Bold proposal, Provide all necessary input and actively participate at strategic discussion and X+3/X+5 session

4. Ensure communication plan aligned with the strategy and supports local R&D projects as well as establish firm connections toward industrial associations (15%)

- Initiate necessary communication plan (e.g. fairs, brochures, mailings, publications, …) in line with the corporate guidelines, clear objectives, and regional strategy.
- Follow up the effectiveness of marketing communications and determine/adjust the practices enable to realize the sales.
- Fully acquainted with the tools provided by the global communication team and take necessary action to be applied in the local context.
- Support and engage with local authorities and drive local R&D projects.
- Establish firm connections toward industrial associations and support making local code/guideline related to SFRC, e.g. AIJ & JSCE
Performance indicators:
Effective marketing plan and action in line with corporate guideline and the budget

Your Profile

1…Excellent knowledge in process, network, and application knowledge in Japanese Building industries (being acquainted with SFRC and/or Infrastructure is a plus)

2...Good project management skills with constructive and structured mindset

3...Customer centric and strong result driven, preferably 5-7 years experiences with sales manager/engineer position in construction sector

4…Has demonstrated excellent networking skills and possess basic commercial knowledge in marketing

5…Possess leadership, teamwork, and share Bekaert values

6…Demonstrate self-management and willing to travel

7…Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Japanese (English communication is a plus)
