MAIN PURPOSE

Corporate Initiatives department was created to drive Cartier’s corporate activities in Japan, notably around social engagements and compliance by developing and implementing local actions internally and externally. This team has a mission to pass on our Maison’s unique and living corporate assets to the audiences, and by doing so, increase their engagement to the brand and add social values to the company.

Corporate Initiatives assistant manager is responsible to help develop and execute the corporate initiatives strategy, reporting to Corporate Initiatives Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibility 1: Corporate Initiatives strategy development, deployment, and budget control

- Support the Director in the development of the corporate initiatives strategy and break it down into annual calendar; control the budget for such corporate activities.

- Develop and/or drive actions to raise awareness of Corporate Initiatives projects and increase engagement, notably around:

  • Employer branding projects: Plan community activities for boutiques and office; engage with NGO and academic partners on corporate topics including sustainability and diversity, and support the local CEO on speaking engagements related to such topics.
  • Empowerment projects: Orchestrate and drive projects such as Cartier Women’s Initiatives and Red Club x Cartier together with internal & external project members, e.g. HQ, CWI fellow, Red Club’s Tokyo Chapter members, and entrepreneurs. Assist other empowerment initiatives such as Women’s Pavilion at Osaka Kansai Expo 2025.
  • Art & Culture projects: Assist art and culture exhibition projects, e.g. Musubi Exhibition at Tokyo National Museum, as well as internal employee events like the fall art festival “bunkasai.”

Key responsibility 2: Internal communication

  • Cultivate internal sharing and engagement environment using communication tools keep all Cartier employees informed of corporate developments, especially in bridging the information gap between the office and the boutiques.
  • Organize employee events in collaboration with the brand management team and others to increase employee engagement.
  • Develop internal materials to educate Cartier employees on corporate initiatives; assist and co-work with team members on improving communication strategies about their tasks.

SKILLS

  • English proficiency in both oral and writing; statistical skills for Data analysis using mainly Excel
  • Communication planning, writing, and editing skills in both English and Japanese
  • Leadership ability to involve other members and departments and external stakeholders
  • Problem-solving, data analysis and critical thinking skills

Required experience:

  • Several years experiences working in communication role or CSR role in a company, an agent or media industry
  • Experiences working in a diverse environment with people with different cultures and backgrounds
  • Experience working flexibly in an ever-changing environment
