Job Description:

The Combat System Technician conducts repair and failure analysis on AN/SQQ-89(V) SONAR equipment in Fleet Concentration Areas (FCAs). Subject Matter Expert with all AN/SQQ-89(V) SONAR combat system equipment. Familiar with all legacy SONAR and modern AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 SONAR equipment. Analyzes failures and faults and provides corrective solutions required in order to implement equipment repair. Conducts testing and restoration activities as required.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Combat System Technician, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of NSWCDD DNA SQQ-89 In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). You will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational readiness of SQQ-89.
● Perform a variety of technical tasks and provide site support.
● Collaborate with internal and external customers to achieve the mission of the SQQ-89 ISEA.
● Drive key SQQ-89 technical outcomes to resolve challenges and support SQQ-89 innovation.
● Modify, move, and/or install a range of new equipment.

● Troubleshoot a variety of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues.

● Perform a variety of integrity testing and interview customers to gather information about problems.

● Fabricate, install, maintain, and repair electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment.

● Provide advice and onsite SQQ-89 technical training for customer support personnel.

● Perform various administrative tasks associated with the SQQ-89 ISEA.

● Support SQQ-89 associated events (i.e. CSAT, PICO/INCO, etc.) as required.

● May serve as a team or task leader.

● Experience: 7+ years of related experience
● Security clearance level: Active Secret Clearance
● US citizenship required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $42.92 - $58.08. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
