The Opportunity
Join Human Pharma Commercial Controlling in Japan and help turn financial data into clear choices and stronger business performance. You will combine reliable financial stewardship with forward-looking analysis, business partnership and modern digital ways of working. Your work will help make confident decisions possible while protecting accuracy, compliance and long-term value.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate budgets, forecasts and long-term plans for assigned commercial areas.
- Analyze performance, explain key drivers and provide clear scenarios, risks, opportunities and recommendations.
- Support monthly and annual accounting close and maintain reliable financial documentation.
- Partner with commercial stakeholders to clarify assumptions, trade-offs, ownership and follow-up actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local requirements, corporate policies, internal controls and approved processes.
- Simplify, standardize and automate recurring finance work to improve quality, speed and user experience.
- Use company-approved AI and digital tools responsibly to support analysis, drafting, summarization, visualization and workflow efficiency, with appropriate human review and data protection.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in controlling, FP&A, accounting or audit.
- A degree or equivalent qualification and experience in finance, accounting, business or economics.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis and accounting close.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
- Professional fluency in Japanese and business-level English.
- A clear, collaborative communication style, analytical curiosity and a strong sense of ownership.
- Interest and practical capability in GenAI and smart working, including prompt design, critical validation and responsible use of approved tools.
Preferred
- Experience in commercial finance within a pharmaceutical, healthcare or multinational environment.
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate or comparable platforms.
- Knowledge of German GAAP and/or Japanese GAAP.
- Experience creating dashboards, automations or AI-enabled finance solutions.
