The position

As our contract manager, you will execute contract implementation as to maximize contract value and compliance. To improve supplier performance and provide input to future sourcing initiatives. Contributing to the implementation and/or improvement of strategic issues and process performance of the department, management of master data. Overseeing the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

· Contract manager executes contract implementation:

§ Responsible for execution of the implementation plan

§ Track and report key performance indicators

§ Propose and implement corrective actions to Category manager

§ Provide input to Category Manager for future sourcing initiatives from lessons learned (new sourcing initiatives and trends, development of contract, development of implementation plan)

§ Work in close collaboration with Category managers and Internal stakeholders in order to ensure acceptance of contracts

· Supplier Management:

  • Lead the SPE (Supplier Performance Evaluation) process for assigned suppliers, be responsible for the quality of the SPE report , ensure that the supplier defines effective corrective actions and follow-up the implementation of the improvement actions.
  • Consolidate findings of supplier performance and report to Category manager as input for the cross-functional review meetings with the suppliers.
  • Implement supplier development activities as defined in the (cross-functional) review meetings with suppliers in order to improve performance and further reduce cost
  • Pro-actively assess opportunities and implement actions defined by the Category manager to improve supplier performance, which including but not limited to cost saving and/or productivity programs
  • Support SQM (Supplier Quality Manager) to collect/update supplier documentation and information
  • Support in the preparation and execution of quality audits at supplier sites and follow up with suppliers to ensure the implementation of the improvement actions.

· Complaint Handling:

  • Be the owner of supplier related complaints, and responsible for the timely and correct response of the supplier. Accountable the quality and timely evaluation/judgement/closure of the complaint.
  • Follow-up on claim settling with suppliers.
  • Timely review complaints with sites.

· Purchasing Order Coordination

  • Escalate to supplier when availability issues occur and take decisions within agreed boundaries (extra costs)
  • Support in case of issues linked to contract Management or contract Administration.

· Risk Management

  • Execute risk management plans with sites to secure supply.
  • Responsible for providing the agreed input to Supply Chain on stock level & lead time raw materials.

· Project Execution Management

  • Collect external data package and coordinate with cross-functional team to create new SKU’s.
  • Support the sample arrangement.
  • Assist in the development of Phase In – Phase Out SCM plan.
  • Provide insights to CAM on trial timing and success.
  • Oversee the implementation of new materials.

· Junior buying / operational buying

  • Execute quick market scans, evaluate risks, align with CAMs, engage negotiations, put into place purchasing and/or intermediary agreements.
  • Review buying activities regularly with CAM.
  • Further in the development of a contract manager job buying tasks can be granted if the development stage allows this: Commercial responsibility & initiative for specific buying activities with clear rules / boundaries.

· Account Payable coordinator

  • Invoice and Payment Processing
  • Account Reconciliation
  • Vendor Management
  • Trouble shooting and process improvement.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor or above degree, preferably in procurement and/or relevant chemical
  • 3 to 5 years working experience in an multi-national company
  • Extensive systems and application knowledge regarding the assigned ICT applications, such as SAP, BW, Microsoft Office
  • Highly developed communication skills with external networking and internal stakeholders
  • Courage to lead and take initiative to archive targets.
  • Fluent in English language skills, other languages are good to have.
