As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. You will be part of our Road Logistics team, adding your expertise + skills to the delivery of customer + operational excellence.
How you create impact
You will be responsible for the smooth + compliant operations of all customs-related activities while keeping abreast of updated customs related regulations.
What we would like you to bring
- To take lead in driving implementation of customs related projects, ensuring seamless onboarding.
- To develop + maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to customs brokers, government agencies, trade compliance associations + customers.
- To ensure accuracy of customs declaration form(s) submission + complete related activities as required by the government, facilitating timely clearance of all shipments.
- To monitor performance of customs-related suppliers + end-to-end customs activities, including but not limited to checking of documents, entering data in relevant systems, inspections of goods, clearance + thirdparty documents.
- To arrange for product re-classification with customs ruling department if required.
- To oversee loading + unloading activities, escalate any defects to relevant parties + follow up with necessary surveys.
- To create standard operating procedures, identify business risks + provide trainings whenever required.
- To attend customs examinations + ensure relevant certifications are valid.
