Demand Planner - Food Company - Tokyo

* Create demand plans for a group of products by utilizing statistical forecasting methods and incorporating commercial data

Our client is a multinational food manufacturing and trading company. The company specializes in agricultural commodities such as livestock (meats), grains, oils, etc. These commodities are sold to supermarkets, cafes, fast food chains, etc. The company was established over 150 years ago and now has a presence in over 50 countries. The Japan office has approximately 300 employees and is located in Central Tokyo.
Description
* Collaborate with Commercial Department to understand customers' needs and align on demand plan
* Create demand plans by analyzing historical sales trends and utilizing statistical forecasting methods
* Participate in integrated business planning activities, partnering closely with supply teams to align on production capacity
* Maintain all relevant data and reports, such as inventory data, demand forecasts, and promotional plans
Profile
* Minimum 3 years of demand and/or supply planning experience
* Experience in food or chemicals industry preferred
* Solid analytical skills and experienced Excel user
* Fluent Japanese skills required and business level English skills preferred
* Must be a resident of Japan and/or must hold a valid working visa for Japan
