What You Will Do
The position is responsible for:
The Demand & Supply Planner is responsible for delivering customer service level that is competitive in Japan market, balanced with optimal inventory investment based on demand plan developed in line with commercial strategies. In this role, planner provides supply chain expertise and lead discussions in S&OP process to make decisions on demand and supply, ensure execution of the supply plan partnering with APSC and other functions in supply chain. Success in this role will require effective communication with key stakeholders, deep understanding on supply chain, agility to react on unexpected events, proactive planning on potential events, and ability to identify approaches which meets both demand initiatives and supply capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Operations Planning, Collaboration:
• Lead local S&OP processes within franchise team collaborating with key stakeholders in demand management, align on monthly rolling forecast in line with latest trend and business strategies.
• Identify demand/supply gap vs business target, figure out opportunities to close gap partnering with key stakeholders.
• Drive discussion in regional S&OP processes partnering with APSC, maximize supply chain capabilities to support business growth with optimal level of inventory.
• With collaboration of franchise team, develop franchise initiatives, and goals which matches overall business strategies.
Customer Service
• Ensure all key stakeholders understand key processes which contribute to customer service.
• Drive discussion on demand/supply scenarios for items with potential risk, minimize impact by partnering with APSC, 3PL, and local team.
• Collaborate with local Sub Con Planner to ensure optimal customer service outcomes for locally reworked products.
• Analyze reasons for service failures, recommend and drive initiatives to prevent future occurrences.
Inventory Management
• Agree on optimal safety stock level with APSC to ensure customer service levels are met with effective level of inventory.
• Review inventory related opportunities with franchise team, ensure the business derives maximum financial return on its inventory.
NPI / NPD
• Partnering with project management team and APSC to ensure on-time demand/supply planning and execution towards launch.
• Post-launch demand/supply management to achieve customer service and optimal inventory level.
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• Minimum 3years of professional experience in any sectors (Consumer Health / Medical / Pharmaceutical / Retails / Manufacturing)
• Experience in S&OP process is preferred.
• Software skills: Advanced Ms. Excel / PowerPoint / Words
• Knowledge of SAP R/3 and APO is an added advantage.
• Languages: English and Japanese
